With scant news about a new The Legend of Zelda title for the Wii U at the most recent E3 Expo, many Zelda fans were left wondering what is in store for the future of the franchise. A new Nintendo 3DS game was announced, Tri Force Heroes, but it appears to be more of a stop-gap release (and spiritual sequel to the somewhat lackluster Four Swords Adventures), as opposed to a true, epic Zelda tale. While fans wait, take a trip through nearly 30 years of Zelda releases and the important quest items needed to complete each game. See how the way we played Zelda has changed through the years, from CRT televisions to handheld devices, to widescreens and high definition. No matter how you play Zelda, remember, it's dangerous to go alone.
