It was billed as " An Aquarian Exposition" and "3 days of peace & music" held in Max Yasgur's upstate New York cow pasture in August of 1969. The Woodstock Music & Art Fair boasted an impressive list of performers, some of the greats of the rock era. Jimi Hendrix. Janis Joplin. Santana. The Grateful Dead. Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more. As many as 400,000 music fans communed in the rainy, muddy field. Two people were killed, and two were born. The promoters incurred $1.4 million in debt. But the Woodstock Festival was a pivotal moment in popular culture. Recall and celebrate that moment, even if you weren't born yet when it happened. Our collection of Woodstock shirts feature artwork from promotional posters, and also individual artists who performed there. Such a festival may never happen again, so it's worth commemorating!
