A new era of Star Wars is just about upon us. Disney is now in control of the franchise and J.J. Abrams is at the helm of the first new Star Wars film in over 10 years. The Force Awakens will be the first film in a new, third trilogy, set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. A tale of light versus dark, Star Wars has always been a classic space opera modeled after George Lucas' love for Flash Gordon and other TV serials. The bad guys are clearly defined and the good guys are always ready to save the day. To prepare you for the new films we have created an infographic primer detailing all of the big bad guys, the Dark Lords of the Sith.

Who is your favorite Darth? Did we miss anybody? Remember, this list is strictly canon Sith, so no Darth Revan or Darth Malgus here (as cool as they are). Do you think Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens will be a member of the Sith Order, or is he just a pretender? Emblazon your chest with your favorite Sith Lord or apprentice by picking up a Star Wars t-shirt or Star Wars hoodie from our shop.

Gentry Boeckel Gentry is an Inbound Marketing Specialist at Shirts.com and would happily wear Star Wars tank tops to the office if it were socially acceptable. Instead, he will have to save the Star Wars gun show for the gym and his backyard neighbors. Besides his Rebel Alliance attire, his all-time favorite t-shirt is probably the bright green, vintage Mars Attacks! tee that says “WE COME IN PEACE.” Yeah, right, we all saw what you did to the disembodied heads of Pierce Brosnan and Sarah Jessica Parker, aliens.
